Cavo ottico attivo AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q50M 50m, CBO SFP28-AOC-50M-QL-BO

The AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q50M is a 50 m active optical cable designed for 25 Gbps SFP28 ports. This factory-terminated duplex fiber cable provides a direct, plug-and-play connection between compatible switches, servers and transceivers. The cable is intended for data center and high-speed networking links where a 50 m reach and optical transmission help reduce electromagnetic interference, lower cable bulk and simplify rack-to-rack or aisle-to-aisle interconnects.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers full-duplex 25 Gbps capability over a 50 metre reach with low latency and consistent signal integrity. As a factory-terminated solution it eliminates on-site splicing and complex terminations, providing immediate interoperability with standard SFP28 ports. Optical transmission reduces susceptibility to EMI compared with copper alternatives and decreases weight and volume in cable runs, which simplifies airflow management and rack organisation in dense installations.

Suitable for

• Data centre rack-to-rack interconnects up to 50 m
• High-performance server to switch links using 25 Gbps SFP28 ports
• Short-reach connections between switches and transceivers in networking closets
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and lower cable bulk

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 duplex optical plugs
• Data rate: 25 Gbps per channel (full-duplex)
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC), factory-terminated duplex fiber
• Length: 50 metres
• Transmission medium: optical fiber (active)
• Typical applications: short-reach data centre interconnects and high-speed networking links

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the devices to be linked, ensuring the connectors are aligned and fully seated until they click. Use proper handling to avoid sharp bends and tensile stress on the cable; follow standard data-centre cable routing practices and secure the cable with cable management accessories as needed. After connection, verify link status and speeds on the connected devices and adjust port configuration if required to enable 25 Gbps operation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and excessive pulling forces; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and route the cable away from heat sources. Confirm compatibility with the target devices' SFP28 ports and supported transceiver settings before deployment. Use structured cable management and label both ends for easier maintenance in dense deployments.
