Cavo ottico attivo AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q7M 7M 25Gbps, marca CBO

The AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q7M 7M 25Gbps active optical cable by BlueOptics (brand CBO) is a factory-terminated SFP28 direct-attach optical link designed for short-range high-speed interconnects. With a 7-meter length and support for 25Gbps per lane, this active optical cable enables low-latency, high-bandwidth connections between SFP28 ports in data centers and network racks. The cable is intended for environments that require reliable server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links where optical termination and compact cabling simplify installation and cable management.

Advantages

The AOC design eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, reducing connector count and simplifying deployment. As an active optical cable, it provides electrical-to-optical conversion within the terminated assemblies to maintain signal integrity over the 7 m distance while keeping power consumption low. The product supports 25Gbps signaling and is optimized for short-reach applications, offering consistent throughput and minimal latency for high-density rack environments.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connections in data center racks
• Switch-to-switch uplinks within the same room or row
• High-density networking deployments requiring compact, factory-terminated links
• Environments where reduced EMI and improved signal integrity are required

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP28 direct-attach active optical cable
• Length: 7 meters
• Data rate: 25 Gbps per channel
• Construction: Factory-terminated duplex optical assembly
• Latency: Low-latency design suitable for high-throughput links
• Compatibility: Designed for SFP28 ports supporting 25Gbps links

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the connector latches. Ensure both ends are seated correctly and that devices are powered and configured for 25Gbps operation. No field termination or additional optical transceivers are required; the cable is ready to use out of the package. Verify link and interface status in your switch or server management interface after insertion to confirm the active link.

Recommendations

Route the cable to minimize sharp bends and avoid placing it under strain; maintain bend radii recommended for optical assemblies to preserve performance. Use the 7 m length for short-reach connections inside racks or between adjacent racks and select this AOC where a factory-terminated, low-latency 25Gbps link is needed. Check device compatibility for SFP28 modules and ensure firmware or driver support for 25Gbps links where applicable.
