Cavo ottico attivo CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q3M, lunghezza 3 m

The CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q3M active optical cable is a factory-terminated, 3 m high-speed interconnect designed for SFP28 ports. It provides a single-cable solution for short-reach 25 Gb/s connections between switches, servers and other networking equipment. By combining transceiver and fiber in one integrated assembly, this BlueOptics AOC simplifies installation, reduces electromagnetic interference and removes the need for separate transceivers and fiber patch cords in dense cabling environments.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers native 25 Gb/s throughput with low latency and stable signal integrity over the 3 m span. The integrated design reduces component count and rack space compared with discrete transceivers plus patch cords, streamlining deployment and maintenance. The cable offers improved immunity to electromagnetic interference and eliminates connector mating losses associated with separate optical patching, providing a reliable short-reach link for modern data centre and enterprise networks.

Suitable for

• 25 Gb/s connections between switches and top-of-rack or leaf switches
• Server-to-switch links in data centre racks
• Short-reach interconnects in network aggregation and spine-leaf architectures
• High-density cabling scenarios where space and cable management matter

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 active optical cable (AOC)
• Supported data rate: 25 Gb/s per channel
• Length: 3 m
• Cable type: optical AOC with factory-terminated connectors
• Latency: low, suitable for high-performance switching and server applications
• EMI performance: immune to electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 ports on the network devices until the latch engages. Verify link status on the connected equipment and confirm negotiated speed of 25 Gb/s. No separate transceivers or patch cords are required; handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends to maintain optical performance. For removal, depress the latch mechanism and pull the connector straight out to avoid stress on the module or port.

Recommendations

Use this 3 m BlueOptics SFP28 AOC in short-reach runs within racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid tight routing around sharp edges, maintain bend radii recommended for AOCs, and verify compatibility with your switch or server vendor for SFP28 AOC support. For environments with potential physical strain, secure the cable to relieve connector stress and ensure long-term link stability.
