Cavo ottico attivo DeLOCK 83200 USB 10 Gbit/s Type-A a Type-C 5 m

The DeLOCK Active Optical Cable 83200 is a 5 m cable with a USB Type-A male connector on one end and a USB Type-C male connector on the other. It is designed to connect devices with a USB Type-C connector to a PC or laptop with a free USB Type-A port. The Type-C connector is equipped with screws to secure the plug and prevent accidental unplugging. The cable uses an active optical core for long-distance, low-loss high-speed data transmission and has a durable NBR jacket for improved flexibility and resistance in demanding environments.

Advantages

This active optical cable supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps) for high-speed data transfers while remaining thinner, lighter and more flexible than comparable copper cables. The optical fiber enables reliable signal transmission over longer distances without signal degradation. The NBR cable jacket increases mechanical durability and makes the cable suitable for use in drag chains and harsh environments. Screw-secured Type-C connector reduces the risk of accidental disconnection during operation.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB Type-C devices (phones, tablets, external drives) to PCs or laptops with USB Type-A ports
• High-speed data transfer applications that require up to 10 Gbps
• Installations requiring a flexible, lightweight cable over a distance of up to 5 m
• Environments with mechanical stress or drag-chain operation

Key specifications

• Manufacturer: DELOCK
• Model / MPN: 83200
• EAN: 4043619832002
• Connector 1: USB Type-A (male)
• Connector 2: USB Type-C (male) with securing screws
• USB version: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (3.1 Gen 2), up to 10 Gbps
• Cable length: 5 m
• Colour: Black

How to use

Insert the USB Type-A plug into an available USB port on the PC or laptop and plug the screw-secured USB Type-C connector into the target device. Tighten the screws on the Type-C connector to secure the connection if required. The cable is plug-and-play for compatible devices; the achievable data rate depends on the capabilities of both connected devices and their USB ports.

Recommendations

Use the cable within its rated 5 m length for optimal performance. Avoid sharp bends and excessive strain on the connectors; the NBR jacket improves durability but does not eliminate the need for careful routing. For maximum data rates ensure both connected devices support USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps).
