ACT recommends considering shorter permanent link lengths than with standard 24 AWG patch cords to accommodate higher attenuation of 32 AWG slimline cables. For PoE applications, limit bundled cables to a maximum of 24 to avoid excessive temperature rise; ANSI TSB-184-A restricts the temperature increase for the centre cable to less than 15°C above ambient.
