Cavo patch in fibra ottica VALUE 50/125 µm LC/ST OM4 viola 10 m

VALUE Fibre Optic Jumper cable with 50/125 µm OM4 multimode fiber and LC and ST connectors, 10 m length, designed for high-speed duplex communication in structured networks. The OM4 grade supports current 1 and 10 Gbit/s applications and provides extended reach for future 40 and 100 Gbit/s systems. With a laser bandwidth of 4700 MHz·km, this cable enables longer backbone runs and short-reach data center links while maintaining high performance.

Advantages

The OM4 multimode construction offers a laser-optimized bandwidth of 4700 MHz·km, exceeding IEEE requirements for 10 Gbit/s over 300 m and allowing extended reaches (up to about 550 m at 10 Gbit/s) for building and campus backbones. The jumper comes in a purple jacket for easy identification and uses 50/125 µm fiber, making it compatible with common multimode transceivers and equipment. LC and ST connector combination supports flexible installations and full-duplex links.

Suitable for

• 1 Gbit/s and 10 Gbit/s LAN and campus backbone links
• Short-reach data center and high-performance computing interconnects
• Medium-length building and campus backbone installations requiring OM4 performance
• Connections requiring LC to ST jumper cables

How to use

Route the jumper cable between network devices ensuring bend radius is respected to avoid fiber damage. Insert the LC connector into the LC port and the ST connector into the ST port until each connector clicks or locks in place. Use one jumper per duplex link (two fibers) as required by your transceivers and verify link status in the connected equipment. Avoid contaminating connector endfaces; clean ends before mating if necessary.

Recommendations

For reliable performance keep the cable within manufacturer-recommended bend radius, store coiled without tight loops, and clean connectors with appropriate fiber-cleaning tools. Use OM4 jumpers where extended 10 Gbit/s reach or future 40/100 Gbit/s upgrades are anticipated.
