Cavo patch MPO-4xLC Multimode OM4 15m BlueOptics FG-TRAN-QSFP-4SFP-15

The BlueOptics MPO-4xLC Multimode OM4 Patch Cable 15m FG-TRAN-QSFP-4SFP-15 is a 15-metre multimode fiber assembly designed for high-density network interconnects. Manufactured for data centre and enterprise environments, the cable converts an MPO connector to four LC connectors and uses OM4 graded fiber to support high-bandwidth short-reach links. Its blue jacket identifies the multimode type and helps with quick visual routing in cable bundles and racks.

Advantages

This MPO to 4xLC trunk cable provides stable multimode transmission over OM4 fiber, reducing insertion loss and maintaining signal integrity for parallel optics and break-out applications. The 15 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or cabinet-to-cabinet connections in larger installations. Compatibility with QSFP and SFP form-factor transceivers enables straightforward deployment in a range of switches, servers and patch panels.

Key specifications

How to use

Install the MPO end into the MPO port of a trunk or QSFP module, ensuring correct orientation and clean connector end-faces. Plug the LC connectors into the corresponding LC ports on SFP transceivers or switch patch panels, matching transmit and receive channels as required. Observe standard fiber handling practices: avoid tight bends, secure the cable to strain-relief points, and keep connector end-faces covered until final mating to prevent contamination.

Recommendations

Inspect and clean connector end-faces with approved fiber cleaning tools before connection, maintain bend radius greater than the manufacturer’s minimum, and use appropriate cable management to avoid tension and microbending. Verify link performance after installation using appropriate test equipment and certify connections for the target data rates.
