Cavo patch ShiverPeaks 77824 fibra ottica duplex SC/SC 9/125µm OS1/OS2 3,0 m

Single-mode fiber optic duplex patch cable ShiverPeaks 77824 with SC to SC connectors is intended for optical signal transmission in LAN, data center and telecommunications environments. The cable uses a 9/125 µm single-mode fiber that meets OS1 and OS2 standards and provides low attenuation over longer distances. With a 3.0 m length and standard SC duplex terminations, it connects switches, patch panels, media converters and other optical equipment where reliable single-mode links are required.

Advantages

The cable offers consistent single-mode performance thanks to the 9/125 µm core/cladding ratio and compliance with OS1/OS2 specifications. SC duplex connectors provide stable mechanical mating and straightforward insertion into standard SC ports. The 3.0 m length covers common rack-to-rack and equipment-to-patch-panel runs without excess slack. The yellow jacket follows common color coding for single-mode fiber, aiding cable identification in structured cabling installations.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting network switches and patch panels in enterprise LANs
• Linking equipment in data centers and server rooms
• Connecting media converters and optical network terminals
• Outdoor-to-indoor fiber runs where single-mode links are required (protected conduits)

Key specifications

• Fiber type: single-mode optical fiber (9/125 µm)
• Standards: compatible with OS1 and OS2 single-mode specifications
• Connector type: SC to SC duplex
• Polarity: duplex (two fibers for transmit and receive)
• Cable length: 3.0 meters
• Jacket color: yellow (single-mode identifier)
• Typical use: indoor patching and equipment interconnects

How to use

Route the patch cable between the two optical ports to be connected, taking care to maintain proper bend radius and avoid tight kinks. Insert each SC connector until it seats in the adapter or receptacle and ensure the duplex clip or keying aligns with the port orientation to preserve correct polarity. If necessary, use cable management panels or ties to secure the cable and prevent strain on the connectors. Clean connector end-faces before mating to minimise insertion loss and back reflections.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dry, dust-free environment. Inspect and clean SC connector end-faces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools prior to installation. Avoid bending the cable beyond the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius and protect the cable from crushing or sharp edges to maintain long-term signal integrity.
