The cable is backward compatible with earlier SATA versions and is finished in red for easy identification inside a system.

Advantages

This SATA cable supports data transfer rates up to 6 Gb/s compliant with the SATA III standard, offers a standard 1 m length for flexible routing inside PC cases and uses standard male SATA connectors on both ends for direct device-to-device connections. Backward compatibility ensures it works with older SATA ports at their native speeds.

How to use

Connect one end of the DeLOCK 82679 SATA cable to the SATA port on the motherboard or controller card and the other end to the SATA port on the storage device. Ensure connectors are fully seated to establish a stable connection. When used with earlier SATA versions, the connection will operate at the maximum speed supported by the older device or port.

Recommendations

Route the cable away from sharp edges and moving parts. For optimal airflow and cable management inside the case, secure excess length with cable ties. Verify both devices are powered before transferring data and avoid force when inserting connectors.
