Cavo SATA DeLOCK 84990 0,3 m SATA 7 poli nero blu

This SATA cable by DELOCK (model 84990) is a 0.3 m internal connection cable for SATA devices. It supports the SATA III standard with a 7-pin connector and is designed in black and blue. The cable provides data transfer rates up to 6 Gb/s and is downward compatible with earlier SATA versions, operating at the respective lower speeds when used with older devices. The connector orientation causes the cable to lead to the right when connected to a hard disk drive, and metal clips on the connectors secure a firm connection.

Advantages

The cable complies with the SATA III specification for up to 6 Gb/s data transfer, offers backward compatibility with previous SATA versions, and has locking metal clips on the connectors for a reliable mechanical connection. Its short 0.3 m length is suitable for tidy internal routing and reduces excess cable within compact PC cases. The 7-pin SATA connectors on both ends provide a standard interface for HDDs, SSDs or controller cards.

Suitable for

• Connecting internal 3.5" or 2.5" SATA hard drives and SATA SSDs to motherboards or controller cards
• Internal connections to SATA controller cards or RAID controllers
• Short internal cable runs inside compact or standard PC cases

Key specifications

• Cable type: SATA III
• Cable length: 0.3 m
• Connector 1: SATA 7-pin
• Connector 2: SATA 7-pin
• Data transfer rate: up to 6 Gb/s
• Product colour: Black, Blue

How to use

Power down the computer and disconnect it from the mains before installation. Locate the SATA port on the motherboard or controller card and the SATA connector on the drive. Align the keyed 7-pin connector and insert it until the metal clip engages. When connecting to a hard disk drive, note that the cable will be routed to the right. After installation, reconnect power and boot the system; the drive should be detected automatically by the operating system or RAID utility.

Recommendations

For optimal signal quality and airflow inside the case, use this 0.3 m cable for short connections only and avoid tight bends or excessive mechanical strain on the connectors. If connecting to older SATA devices, expect lower maximum transfer rates corresponding to the device's SATA version.
