Cavo SFP+ BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-IB-BO 25m connettore/connettore

The BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-IB-BO is a 25-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ male connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed InfiniBand and 10 Gigabit Ethernet links. It provides a single, factory-terminated connection that eliminates separate transceivers and fiber patch cords, reducing installation complexity. The cable is intended for short to medium reach interconnects inside racks and between adjacent cabinets where low latency and high throughput are required.

Advantages

This SFP+ active optical cable offers predictable 10 Gbps performance with electrical SFP+ compatibility and optical transmission characteristics suitable for InfiniBand environments. The integrated SFP+ form-factor connectors simplify installation and reduce points of failure compared with discrete transceivers plus fiber. The 25 m length enables flexible placement of network equipment across racks and rows while maintaining signal integrity and immunity to electromagnetic interference.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch connections within data centres
• High-performance computing clusters using InfiniBand
• Top-of-rack to aggregation switch interconnects
• Low-latency, high-throughput storage networks

Key specifications

• Type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Connector: SFP+ male to SFP+ male
• Length: 25 metres
• Data rate: 10 Gbps (compatible with SFP+ interfaces)
• Application: InfiniBand and 10 Gigabit Ethernet links
• Form factor: SFP+ integrated transceiver ends

How to use

Ensure both network devices support SFP+ AOC interfaces and are powered off or follow hot-plug guidance from the device vendor. Remove protective caps from the cable ends, align each SFP+ connector with the device port and insert until the latch engages. Verify link and activity LEDs on connected devices or check system diagnostics for link status. For removal, release the connector latch and extract the cable straight out to avoid stress on the port.

Recommendations

Install the cable in rack pathways with gentle bends—avoid sharp bends or kinks—and secure the cable to prevent excessive movement. Keep connectors clean and replace protective caps when not in use. Use within expected ambient temperature ranges and avoid exposure to liquids and corrosive environments to ensure long-term reliability.
