Cavo SFP28 AOC BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-7M-AT-BO 7 m connettore/connettore

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-7M-AT-BO is a 7-meter active optical cable with SFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for 25G high-speed data transmission over multimode fiber. The pre-assembled AOC integrates transmitter and receiver modules in the SFP28 housings and follows MSA specifications for electrical, mechanical and functional interoperability. The cable supports Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet applications up to 25 Gbit/s and provides a plug-and-play fiber connection without the need for separate transceivers or patch cords.

Advantages

The integrated active optical design minimizes electromagnetic interference and reduces latency compared with copper links. Being pre-terminated and factory-tested for compatibility, the 7 m BlueOptics AOC offers straightforward installation and consistent optical performance. Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM) is supported to report supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit power, receive power and temperature for remote troubleshooting. The cable is manufactured to MSA standards and uses quality optical and electronic components to deliver long operational lifetime and stable availability.

Suitable for

• Data center top-of-rack connections between switches and servers
• High-performance computing clusters requiring low-latency links
• Storage area networks and SAN switches with SFP28 ports
• Short-reach optical links in enterprise aggregation and distribution layers

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Length: 7 meters
• Data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s
• Fiber type: multimode (active optical cable)
• Digital Diagnostics: DDM/DOM compliant (MSA SFF-8472)
• Product colour: aqua
• Weight: approximately 0.15 kg

How to use

Install the SFP28-AOC-7M-AT-BO by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your networking devices until the latch engages. Ensure the host devices support SFP28 AOC modules and, if DDM/DOM is required, that the hardware and management software can read diagnostic registers. No fiber polishing, patching or additional transceiver modules are needed; the cable is ready for immediate operation after secure insertion and device recognition.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, verify firmware and compatibility lists of your switches, routers or storage systems for SFP28 AOC support. Avoid excessive bending beyond the cable's minimum bend radius and keep connector end faces protected when the cable is not in use. Use the DDM/DOM data to monitor link status and environmental parameters and schedule maintenance if diagnostic values deviate from expected ranges.
