Connettore femmina Keystone ShiverPeaks BS08-45005-2 Cat 8.1 metallico, modulo RJ45 schermato

The ShiverPeaks BS08-45005-2 Cat 8.1 metal keystone jack is a shielded RJ45 module designed for Category 8.1 structured cabling. It provides a compact keystone form factor suitable for installation in patch panels, wall plates and keystone housings. The metal, shielded construction supports high-speed Ethernet links and helps reduce electromagnetic interference in dense cabling environments, making it appropriate for data centers and professional network installations requiring Cat 8.1 performance.

Advantages

The metal shielded housing offers enhanced protection against external electromagnetic interference and supports reliable performance at higher frequencies defined by Cat 8.1 standards. Its keystone format ensures compatibility with standard keystone openings and simplifies installation into panels and faceplates. The RJ45 interface maintains backward compatibility with lower Ethernet categories while providing the electrical characteristics needed for 25G/40G Ethernet over short runs when used within a Cat 8.1 channel.

Suitable for

• Data center top-of-rack and patch panel connections
• Server room and high-density network racks
• Wall plate or keystone housing installations in professional environments
• Environments requiring electromagnetic shielding to maintain signal integrity

Key specifications

• Form factor: keystone module compatible with standard keystone ports
• Connector type: shielded RJ45
• Cabling category: Category 8.1 performance
• Housing material: metal shielded construction
• Compatibility: backward compatible with Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A/Cat7 cabling systems

How to use

Install the keystone jack by terminating the incoming shielded twisted-pair cable according to the color code and termination scheme recommended for Cat 8.1 cabling. Ensure the cable shield is properly bonded to the jack’s metal housing to maintain overall system shielding. Snap the keystone module into a compatible panel, faceplate or keystone housing and secure any retaining clip or screw if present. After termination and installation, test the link with appropriate Cat 8.1-qualified test equipment to verify performance and continuity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this shielded keystone jack within a fully shielded Category 8.1 channel including compatible shielded patch cords, patch panels and outlets. Maintain proper cable bend radius and shielding continuity during installation, and validate the installed link with a certified tester supporting Cat 8.1 parameters.
