Connettore in fibra ottica ShiverPeaks S/CONN LC-LC duplex color acqua

ShiverPeaks S/CONN LC-LC Duplex Aqua is an LC to LC duplex fiber optic connector engineered for multimode OM3/OM4 environments. Housed in an aqua-coloured body, this connector provides standard LC duplex terminations suitable for patch panels, fiber patch cords and short interconnect runs in data centres and structured cabling systems. It is intended to maintain consistent optical performance and simple field termination or factory assembly when used with compatible multimode fiber assemblies.

Advantages

The connector offers low insertion loss and stable return loss characteristics when mated with compliant LC duplex adapters and transceivers. Its compact LC form factor allows high-density port layouts in patch panels and equipment. The aqua housing colour provides quick visual identification for OM3/OM4 multimode cabling, supporting organized cable management. The duplex design ensures polarity-maintaining connections for transmit and receive paths in duplex links.

Suitable for

• Multimode OM3 and OM4 patch cords and pigtails
• Fiber patch panels and adapter panels in data centres
• Short-run interconnects between networking equipment and transceivers
• Structured cabling installations in telecom rooms and equipment racks

Key specifications

• Connector type: LC duplex
• Mode type: Multimode (OM3/OM4)
• Housing colour: Aqua (multimode identification)
• Polarity: Duplex (separate transmit and receive fibers)
• Compatibility: Standard LC duplex adapters and LC transceivers

How to use

Install the connector by aligning the LC ferrule with the mating adapter or transceiver and insert until it latches securely. Observe correct polarity when connecting duplex links to ensure transmit and receive channels are matched. For field termination, follow the fiber preparation and polishing or cleaving procedures recommended for LC ferrules and use compatible splice or termination equipment. If using pre-assembled patch cords, inspect endfaces and clean with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before making connections to ensure optimal optical performance.

Recommendations

Store and handle in a clean environment to prevent contamination of ferrule endfaces. Use approved fiber cleaners and inspection microscopes to verify endface condition. Match the connector to OM3/OM4 multimode cabling and compatible LC duplex adapters to achieve expected insertion loss and return loss performance.
