It supports 1080p input and output to maintain high-definition video quality during signal translation. Built with standard SDI and HDMI connectors, it enables compatibility with a wide range of cameras, switchers and monitors without requiring additional adapters. The unit’s simplicity and stable signal handling reduce the need for complex configuration in time-sensitive environments.

Suitable for

• Live event video monitoring and routing
• Broadcast and studio production environments
• Field recording and ENG setups
• Connecting professional SDI cameras to HDMI monitors or recorders
• Quality control and playback on consumer HDMI displays

Key specifications

• Supported resolutions: up to 1080p
• Input type: SDI (professional serial digital interface)
• Output type: HDMI (consumer digital video interface)
• Form factor: compact, rack- or field-friendly
• Primary use: real-time SDI-to-HDMI video conversion

How to use

Connect the SDI cable from the source device to the converter’s SDI input and attach an HDMI cable from the converter’s HDMI output to the display or recorder. Power the unit according to the supplied power method and verify that both source and display support 1080p. The converter operates as a pass-through format translator, so minimal configuration is required; check the display settings to ensure correct scaling and refresh rate where applicable.

Recommendations

Use high-quality SDI and HDMI cables and confirm cable lengths meet broadcast standards to preserve signal integrity; for long runs consider using signal repeaters or fiber conversion. Verify compatibility of connected devices for 1080p timing and color space to avoid scaling or chroma issues during monitoring and recording.
