Corda da arrampicata Edelrid 710790802000 rossa 80000 mm 9,8 mm poliammide

The Edelrid climbing rope in red is a single dynamic rope made from polyamide, with a length of 80,000 mm (80 m) and a diameter of 9.8 mm. Designed as a lightweight sport climbing rope, it features Thermo Shield treatment that improves sheath stability and handling while maintaining dynamic performance. The narrow diameter and balanced construction offer a combination of reduced weight, good rope management and sufficient durability for regular gym sessions, sport routes and alpine approaches.

Advantages

Thermo Shield treatment increases sheath resistance to abrasion and reduces sheath slippage on the core, improving handling and longevity. The 9.8 mm diameter keeps the rope lightweight and easy to clip, belay and coil, while polyamide construction provides reliable elasticity and impact absorption. The rope’s characteristics make it suitable for climbers seeking a compromise between low weight and durability for varied climbing use.

How to use

Inspect the rope for visible damage, cuts or excessive abrasion before each use and retire it according to manufacturer guidelines if damage is found. Use appropriate knots for climbing and secure ends with heat-sealed or taped terminations if necessary. Pair the rope with compatible belay devices and hardware rated for single-rope use, and follow standard belaying and rappelling procedures. Store the rope coiled in a dry, cool place away from chemicals, UV exposure and sharp edges.

Recommendations

For sport and indoor climbing, the 9.8 mm diameter offers a balance of durability and ease of handling; consider using rope protectors on sharp edges and avoid prolonged exposure to dirt and moisture to extend service life. Regularly clean the rope according to the manufacturer’s instructions and perform routine safety checks before every climb.
