Corning VKA kit serratura Q3 per VKA 2 (MPN DE620001284)

Corning VKA lock kit Q3 for VKA 2 is a replacement lock assembly designed for VKA 2 systems. The kit contains the mechanical lock components required to restore or maintain secure locking of access-controlled fiber enclosures and cabinets that use the VKA 2 panel interface. It is intended for service and repair tasks where original-fit locking parts are needed to ensure consistent mechanical security and reliable operation of distribution panels.

Advantages

The lock kit offers compatibility with VKA 2 mounting and locking points, enabling straightforward replacement without modification of the enclosure. Components are manufactured to Corning mechanical tolerances to provide repeatable engagement and a stable locking action. The design supports routine maintenance and reduces downtime by allowing rapid swap-in of a known-fit replacement lock assembly.

Suitable for

• Maintenance and repair of VKA 2 fiber distribution panels
• Replacement of worn or damaged mechanical locks in access-controlled cabinets
• Field service interventions where original-fit Corning locking components are required
• Planned preventive maintenance to restore secure panel locking

Key specifications

• Compatibility: mechanical fit for VKA 2 panel locking interface
• Function: single mechanical lock assembly for enclosure access control
• Material: metal components designed for mechanical durability
• Finish: corrosion-resistant surface treatment suitable for indoor telecom environments
• Mounting: designed for direct installation into VKA 2 lock location without enclosure modification

How to use

To replace a VKA 2 lock, remove the access panel and extract the existing lock following standard safety and lockout procedures. Install the replacement lock assembly from the kit into the designated lock aperture, align the locking cam and secure fasteners to the specified torque. Verify smooth operation of the lock and correct engagement with the strike or catch. Return the access panel to service after confirming proper mechanical closure and secure key operation.

Recommendations

Use original-fit replacement parts during scheduled maintenance or repair to maintain intended mechanical security. Inspect the lock and surrounding mounting surfaces for wear or damage before installation and replace any compromised hardware. Operate the lock through a few open/close cycles after installation to ensure reliable engagement.
