Datalogic Skorpio X5 - 10,9 cm (4,3") - 800 x 480 Pixel - LCD - Multitouch - Capacitivo - Gorilla Glass (943500048B1)

The Skorpio X5 stands apart in the rugged handheld market by pairing a pocketable 4.3-inch form factor with enterprise-grade durability and a Qualcomm Snapdragon SD660 octa-core platform. Unlike bulkier industrial devices, it delivers a bright Gorilla Glass multitouch display and a high-performance 2D imager in a housing that survives 1.8 m drops to concrete and IP65 dust and water exposure. This version ships with Android 10, 4 GB of LPDDR4 memory, and 64 GB of eMMC flash, so even data-heavy retail, warehouse, and field service applications run without compromise.

Highlights

• 4.3-inch capacitive multitouch LCD with 800 x 480 resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass for scratch and impact resistance.
• Qualcomm Snapdragon SD660 octa-core processor at 2.2 GHz with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage for responsive multitasking.
• Integrated 1D/2D imager reads barcodes from near contact to long range, even on damaged or poorly printed labels.
• Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC deliver fast, reliable wireless connectivity in dense environments.
• Rugged design: IP65 sealed against dust and water jets, 1.8 m drop resistance to concrete, and a 3500 mAh battery for full-shift operation.
• Android 10 operating system with optional upgrade path, plus USB-C for fast charging and data transfer.

In daily use

On a retail floor, the Skorpio X5 feels light and balanced, yet the reinforced chassis and Gorilla Glass shrug off accidental drops from shelf height. The 2D imager captures 1D and 2D codes instantly, with a scan engine that handles glare, curved surfaces, and low-contrast prints. Warehouse staff benefit from Wi-Fi 6, which maintains throughput even when dozens of devices share the same access point, while NFC enables quick pairing with tags or payment terminals. The 3500 mAh battery supports a full shift of scanning and data entry, and hot-swap capability (with optional spare battery) minimises downtime. The 13 MP rear camera with flash documents damaged goods or proof of delivery, and the optional 4G LTE keeps field workers connected beyond Wi-Fi coverage.
