Why choose it

The Yabby Edge 4G stands out for its exceptional battery life and versatile positioning technologies. Unlike many trackers that rely solely on GPS, it intelligently switches between GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell tower triangulation to maintain accurate location indoors, outdoors, and in urban canyons. The IP67 rating ensures durability in harsh environments, while the user-replaceable batteries eliminate downtime for recharging. With support for both LTE-M and NB-IoT, it offers future-proof connectivity across global networks. The integrated accelerometer enables motion-based tracking, and the temperature sensor adds environmental monitoring for sensitive cargo.

Ideal use cases

• Tracking high-value assets such as containers, trailers, and construction equipment
• Monitoring pallets and shipments through supply chains, including indoor warehouses
• Securing rental equipment and tools across job sites
• Cold chain monitoring with temperature sensing
• Fleet management for non-powered assets like storage trailers
• Personal asset tracking for luggage or valuable items

Good to know

The Yabby Edge 4G is designed for long-term deployment with minimal maintenance. Battery life varies based on reporting frequency and environment; using lithium batteries extends operating temperature range and lifespan. The device supports geofencing alerts and can store data locally when out of network coverage, syncing when connectivity resumes. Mounting is flexible with screws, cable ties, or adhesive, allowing secure attachment to various surfaces. For optimal performance, ensure the device has a clear view of the sky when GPS is required, though Wi-Fi and cell positioning provide fallback indoors. Over-the-air updates keep the firmware current without physical access.
