Disco abrasivo in fibra 3M Cubitron II 982C 125x22 mm, grana K60+

The Abrasive Fiber Disc 3M Cubitron II 982C 125x22 mm, grit K60+ is a high-performance grinding disc engineered for professional metalworking and surface preparation. Built with Cubitron II ceramic abrasive, this 125 mm fiber disc delivers a faster cut rate and extended life compared with conventional abrasives. It is intended for use on angle grinders where consistent material removal and reliable disc life are required for tasks such as blending, deburring and preparing metal substrates for further finishing.

Advantages

The Cubitron II ceramic abrasive structure provides a sharper, self-sharpening cutting action that maintains performance over longer periods of use. The fiber backing offers stability and resistance to heat, allowing effective stock removal on steel and other hard materials. The compact 125x22 mm format is balanced for controlled grinding with standard angle grinders, and the K60+ grit combines aggressive cutting with ability to leave a surface ready for secondary operations.

How to use

Mount the fiber disc securely on a compatible angle grinder with a 22 mm arbor. Before starting work, inspect the disc for damage and ensure the grinder’s guard and personal protective equipment are in place. Apply steady, even pressure and let the abrasive do the cutting—avoid excessive force that could overload the grinder or reduce disc life. Use smooth, controlled passes across the workpiece to achieve uniform material removal, and periodically check the disc condition during use. Replace the disc when wear affects performance or the backing becomes compromised.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, pair the disc with an angle grinder rated for the disc size and recommended speed. Use appropriate PPE including eye, face and respiratory protection when grinding metal. Store discs flat in a dry area away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight to preserve abrasive integrity.
