Disco rigido esterno Western Digital 36 TB USB Type-C G-RAID SDPHK2H-036T-MBAAD

The SanDisk Professional G-RAID PROJECT 2 (model SDPHK2H-036T-MBAAD) is a high-capacity, 2-bay external hard drive system pre-configured in RAID 0 and equipped with USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2) and Thunderbolt 3 compatibility. With a capacity of 36 TB and enterprise-class 7200 RPM drives, it delivers high sustained transfer rates—up to 510 MB/s read and 490 MB/s write—making it suitable for large media projects and high-resolution video workflows.

Advantages

The device combines high storage density and fast spindle speeds for improved performance when working with 4K, 8K and VR content. RAID 0 configuration maximizes throughput for demanding applications, while USB Type-C (3.2 Gen 2) and Thunderbolt 3 connectivity provide broad compatibility and low-latency transfers. Its 2-bay design offers a balance between capacity and accessibility in a single external enclosure.

Suitable for

• Video editing and post-production (4K, 8K, VR)
• Large-scale media archiving and project storage
• High-throughput file transfer and content creation workflows
• Professionals needing portable, high-capacity external storage

How to use

Connect the G-RAID PROJECT 2 to your computer using the included USB Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 cable. The unit ships pre-configured in RAID 0 for maximum performance; if you require redundancy, reconfigure the drives to a different RAID level using the provided utility or your operating system’s disk management tools. Format the volume to the desired filesystem (exFAT, APFS, HFS+, or NTFS) according to your workstation requirements, then copy or edit media files directly on the drive. Ensure your host system supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 3 to achieve the specified speeds.

Recommendations

For critical projects, maintain a separate backup workflow: RAID 0 improves performance but does not provide fault tolerance. Use scheduled backups or a mirror/archive solution to protect original footage and important files.
