Sensore a infrarossi Homematic IP HmIP-SMO-A-2 montaggio a parete wireless antracite

The Homematic IP HmIP-SMO-A-2 Wireless Wall Anthracite is a compact infrared motion sensor designed for indoor and outdoor use. The device detects movement using passive infrared technology and communicates wirelessly within the Homematic IP system on the 868.0–868.6 MHz and 869.4–869.65 MHz bands. Powered by a long-life battery, the sensor offers a low-maintenance solution for automating lighting, triggering alarms, or activating other smart-home functions. Its anthracite housing and unobtrusive wall-mounted form factor suit residential and commercial environments where a discreet presence sensor is required.

Advantages

The sensor provides reliable passive infrared motion detection with a compact housing and a modern anthracite finish that blends into many interiors and façades. Wireless communication within the Homematic IP system allows seamless integration with other devices and central control units without the need for wiring. The energy-efficient design and battery operation deliver several years of service life under typical use, reducing maintenance intervals. Wall-mount suitability and weather-resistant design elements support placement in sheltered outdoor locations as well as indoor rooms.

How to use

Mount the sensor on a vertical wall at the recommended height for optimal coverage and angle it to cover the desired detection zone. Insert the battery according to the manufacturer’s instructions and pair the sensor with a Homematic IP central unit or gateway following the pairing procedure in the system documentation. After pairing, configure detection sensitivity, timeouts, and integration with lighting or alarm functions via the Homematic IP app or central control interface. Periodically verify the battery status in the system and replace the battery when indicated.

Recommendations

Install the sensor in a location protected from direct rain and strong sunlight for reliable long-term operation. Avoid mounting near heating vents, air conditioning outlets, or in places with rapid temperature changes to reduce false triggers. For outdoor use choose sheltered mounting positions such as under eaves or behind protective covers while ensuring the sensor’s field of view remains unobstructed.
