Equip Cavo patch in fibra ottica LC / SC, OS2, 10m

The equip® Optical Fiber Patch Cord is a 10 m OS2 single-mode fiber cable with a 9 µm core diameter and factory-polished end faces to provide low return loss and low insertion loss. Fitted with an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other, this patch cord supports full-duplex transmission and is intended for use in networking environments that require reliable high-speed data links.

Advantages

The Equip LC/SC OS2 patch cord offers stable single-mode transmission over long distances, compatibility with standard LC and SC ports, and precision connector end-face geometry that reduces signal reflections and attenuation. The pre-terminated, factory-tested cable minimizes installation time and ensures predictable performance.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting network equipment in data centres and telecom racks
• Fiber patch panels and distribution frames
• High-speed links between switches, routers and fiber transceivers
• Local and campus backbone fiber runs requiring OS2 single-mode cable

How to use

Ensure both devices have compatible LC and SC ports before connecting. Align the LC connector with the LC port and the SC connector with the SC port, then insert until a secure click or snug seating is achieved. Avoid bending the cable beyond the specified minimum bend radius and keep connector end faces clean; use appropriate fiber cleaning tools if necessary. For best results, test the link with an optical power meter or OTDR after installation.

Recommendations

Prevent contamination by keeping protective dust caps on connectors until final installation, route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress, and store spare cords in a clean, dry place. Follow equipment vendor guidelines for connector handling and testing to maintain optimal performance.
