Exertis Connect Cavo patch in fibra ottica duplex multimodale LC/UPC a ST/UPC, OM2 50/125 µm, LSZH, arancione, 3 m 392673

Network technicians deploying multimode fiber links in enterprise LAN backbones or data centers will appreciate this 3-meter patch cable for its reliable connectivity between LC/UPC and ST/UPC equipment. The duplex configuration supports bidirectional communication over 50/125µm OM2 fiber, making it suitable for Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet applications up to 550 meters at 850nm.

Key specifications

• Length: 3.0 m
• Fiber type: OM2 multimode 50/125 µm
• Connectors: LC/UPC male to ST/UPC male
• Cable diameter: 2 mm
• Jacket material: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Jacket color: Orange
• Insertion loss: < 0.3 dB
• Return loss: > 30 dB
• Operating temperature: -20°C to 70°C

Why choose it

The LSZH jacket emits low smoke and no halogens in case of fire, enhancing safety in enclosed spaces. The orange color follows TIA-568 coding for multimode fiber, simplifying identification in dense cable trays.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting switches to patch panels in campus networks
• Linking fiber media converters to backbone cabling
• Extending connections between floors in office buildings

Good to know

The cable is duplex, meaning it contains two fibers in a single zip-cord construction, allowing simultaneous transmit and receive. OM2 fiber supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 82 meters, making it a cost-effective choice for short-reach high-speed links.
