Fineliner Staedtler Pigment Liner 308 nero

The Staedtler Pigment Liner 308 Black is a fine fineliner designed for precise drawing, technical sketching and clear handwriting. Its black pigment ink provides sharp lines with stable flow and quick drying, while water-resistant properties help protect work from smudging. The pen's slim barrel and consistent tip make it suitable for long drawing sessions and detailed work on a variety of paper types.

Advantages

The Staedtler Pigment Liner 308 Black delivers uniform, fade-resistant black lines with minimal bleeding on most papers. The fine, rigid tip ensures accurate line widths and reliable line starts, while the ink's fast-drying and water-resistant characteristics reduce smudging and allow for layering with other media. The lightweight barrel supports comfortable handling for extended use and the pen maintains consistent performance across repeated strokes.

• Design mock-ups and fine-detail work

Key specifications

• Tip type: fine rigid pigment tip for precise lines
• Ink color: black pigment ink
• Ink properties: water-resistant and quick-drying
• Barrel: slim, lightweight design for comfortable grip
• Suitable media: standard drawing and writing papers, sketchbooks

How to use

Remove the cap and hold the fineliner at a comfortable angle to the paper, applying light consistent pressure for even ink flow. For the sharpest lines, use a steady hand and avoid pressing the tip sideways. Allow the ink to dry briefly before touching the drawn area or layering other media. Replace the cap after use to prevent drying.

Recommendations

For best results, pair the Staedtler Pigment Liner 308 Black with medium-weight, smooth-surfaced paper. When combining with water-based washes, let the pigment ink dry completely to preserve line clarity. Store capped and horizontally or tip-up to maintain tip condition and prevent ink pooling.
