Key specifications

• Measuring length: 3 metres
• Weight: approximately 155 grams
• Form factor: compact hand-held tape measure
• Housing colors: black, orange and yellow for high visibility
• Blade: flexible metal tape with clear measurement graduations

How to use

Pull the blade out of the housing to the required length and engage the locking mechanism to hold the tape in place for precise measurement. Align the end hook with the reference point and read the measurement from the blade markings. Release the lock to retract the blade back into the housing, guiding the tape to prevent it from snapping back uncontrolled. Store the tape measure in a dry place to maintain blade condition and smooth retraction.

Recommendations

For accurate results, ensure the end hook is properly seated against the measured surface and the blade is tensioned straight. Avoid exposing the tape to excessive moisture or corrosive substances to prolong blade life. Use the compact Bahco MTG-3-16 for short-range measuring tasks where portability and quick readability are priorities.
