Staedtler Noris scissors with a 14 cm blade length are compact cutting tools designed for everyday paper tasks at school, in the office, or at home. The model is available in assorted handle colors and combines a short blade with an ergonomic, balanced body that facilitates controlled, precise cuts. These scissors are intended for routine cutting of paper, thin cardboard and similar lightweight materials where a small, easy-to-store tool is preferred.

Advantages

Compact dimensions and a 14 cm blade length make these scissors easy to handle for users of different ages and convenient to carry in pencil cases or desk drawers. The assorted handle colors help with quick identification and personalization. The design emphasizes practical handling and safe storage due to its small size and balanced weight, providing stable cutting performance for everyday tasks.

Suitable for

• School projects, classroom activities and arts-and-crafts
• Office document trimming and small corrections
• Home paper cutting, card making and hobby use
• Children and students requiring a small, manageable pair of scissors

Key specifications

• Blade length: 14 cm
• Handle: ergonomic, molded for comfortable grip
• Material: metal blades with durable handles (assorted colors)
• Weight and size: compact, suitable for storage in pencil cases and small drawers
• Intended materials: paper, thin cardboard and similar lightweight materials

How to use

Hold the scissors with the thumb and fingers in the molded handle openings and position the blades around the material to be cut. Apply steady, controlled pressure and move the blades along the intended cutting line. For straighter cuts, support the material with the non-cutting hand and make long, continuous strokes where possible. Keep the scissors clean and dry after use to prevent corrosion and ensure consistent performance.

Recommendations

Use these scissors primarily for paper and similar lightweight materials. Avoid cutting hard or thick materials such as wire, rigid plastic, or heavy cardboard to prevent blade damage. Store the scissors in a dry place and away from direct moisture; if the blades become stiff, a drop of light machine oil applied to the hinge will restore smooth movement.
