Cavo in fibra ottica Alcasa 10m SC/LC

The Alcasa 10m SC/LC fibre optic cable by Good Connections is a 10-metre multimode jumper designed for linking equipment with SC and LC terminations. Constructed with OM3 grade fibre and a 50 µm core diameter, the cable supports full duplex transmission and is intended for short- to medium-range high-speed networking in data centers, server rooms and structured cabling environments. Its fixed length and mixed SC-to-LC connector arrangement allow straightforward connectivity between patch panels, transceivers and active network devices while preserving signal integrity over the specified distance.

Advantages

The OM3 multimode fibre provides consistent optical performance for 10 Gbps and certain higher-rate applications over typical campus and data center distances. The SC connector offers a push-pull locking mechanism while the LC connector delivers a compact form factor suitable for high-density panels, enabling flexible integration in different rack and patch configurations. The 10 m length balances reach and manageability, reducing the need for additional adapters or intermediate patch cords in many installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting SC-terminated patch panels to LC transceivers in data centers
• Linking servers, switches and storage devices within a rack or across adjacent racks
• Structured cabling where OM3 multimode performance is required
• Short- to medium-length fibre runs for 10 Gbps Ethernet and similar applications

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM3
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 10 metres
• Connector A: SC (female/male style per product standard)
• Connector B: LC (compact duplex)
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Typical application: Data centre and structured cabling links

How to use

Route the Alcasa 10m SC/LC cable along the planned cable path, avoiding tight bends and areas with mechanical stress. Ensure connector endfaces are clean before mating; use appropriate fibre cleaning tools to remove dust and debris. Insert the SC connector into the SC adapter or port until it engages, and plug the LC connector into the LC port or transceiver until it clicks. Verify link status on connected equipment and, if required, perform optical power or continuity tests to confirm proper installation and signal levels.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable to avoid bending below the minimum bend radius specified for OM3 multimode fibre. Clean connectors before each use, and label both ends if used in larger installations to simplify identification. For links beyond standard OM3 reach or for single-mode requirements, choose an appropriate fibre type or transceiver to match system specifications.
