How to use

Connect the LaCie 1big Dock to a compatible host using a Thunderbolt 3 cable, then mount the drive on the computer. Use it as a primary storage volume for active projects, or as a target for scheduled backups and archives. The additional ports on the dock allow connecting peripherals directly to the unit to simplify cable routing; configure those devices through the host operating system as needed. For initial setup, follow the operating system prompts for formatting or volume configuration if necessary.

Recommendations

Place the unit on a stable, ventilated surface and avoid blocking airflow around the chassis. Use a Thunderbolt 3 connection for optimal data transfer performance. Maintain regular backups and verify archive integrity when storing critical projects. For long-term archiving of important data, consider maintaining at least one separate copy on a different media or location.
