HPE M6625 – 300 GB – 2,5 pollici – SAS – 10.000 rpm

The HPE M6625 is a 300GB internal hard drive in a 2.5-inch form factor with a Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) interface. Designed for enterprise environments, this 10,000 RPM drive offers dual-port connectivity for improved throughput and redundancy, making it suitable for data centres and critical workloads that require reliable, high-speed access to stored data.

Advantages

The 2.5-inch HPE M6625 combines a high rotational speed of 10,000 RPM with SAS dual-port architecture to deliver low-latency performance and increased availability. Its compact form factor enables higher storage density in server and rack environments, while enterprise-grade reliability and compatibility with HP Enterprise systems support continuous operation and simplified maintenance.

Suitable for

• Enterprise data centres requiring continuous, high-availability storage
• High-performance transactional databases and virtualised workloads
• Applications needing dual-port redundancy and increased throughput
• Environments where space-efficient 2.5" drives improve rack density

How to use

Install the HPE M6625 into a compatible 2.5-inch SAS drive bay or tray following your server or storage system manufacturer guidelines. Ensure SAS cabling and dual-port connections are correctly configured to take advantage of redundancy and multipath I/O. Initialise and format the drive within the operating system or storage controller, then assign it to the desired RAID array or storage pool according to deployment requirements.

Recommendations

Use the drive in enterprise-class controllers and enclosures that support SAS dual-port operation and 10,000 RPM drives. For critical workloads, deploy with redundant paths and appropriate RAID levels, perform regular firmware updates from HP Enterprise, and monitor drive health with system management tools to maintain availability and performance.
