Lucchetto a catena ABUS 57659 rosso 1100 mm

The ABUS 57659 Red 1100 mm chain lock is a compact, lightweight security solution for bicycles and small outdoor equipment. Constructed from steel with a red protective sleeve, the chain measures 1100 mm in length and 4 mm in diameter, and the complete unit weighs approximately 360 g. The lock includes two keys, providing straightforward operation and a spare key for everyday use.

Advantages

The steel chain provides basic resistance to cutting and abrasion while the colored sleeve prevents paint damage to the frame. At 1100 mm the chain is long enough to secure a bike to a fixed object while remaining easy to carry. The 4 mm diameter balances portability and security for short stops, and the included pair of keys eliminates the need for immediate key duplication.

Suitable for

• Quick stops in urban environments
• Securing commuter and city bikes
• Locking scooters, wheelchairs, or garden equipment for short periods
• Transport where low weight is important

Key specifications

• Material: steel chain with protective textile sleeve
• Length: 1100 mm
• Chain diameter: 4 mm
• Weight: approx. 360 g
• Color: red
• Locking mechanism: cylinder lock with two supplied keys

How to use

Thread the chain around the bike frame and a fixed object, ensuring it passes through the frame and preferably one wheel. Insert the chain end into the lock cylinder and turn the key to secure. Keep both supplied keys in separate locations to avoid being locked out. For transport, wrap the chain and attach it to the frame or pack it in a bag.

Recommendations

Use this chain lock for short-term security in low- to medium-risk areas. For overnight or high-risk storage, consider combining with a heavier-duty lock or using a more robust anchor point. Regularly inspect the chain sleeve and locking cylinder for wear or dirt and lubricate the cylinder periodically to maintain smooth operation.
