Lucchetto pieghevole per bicicletta FISCHER PROTEC FN85 — lucchetto pieghevole, acciaio temprato, lunghezza 850 mm

FISCHER PROTEC FN85 is a folding bicycle lock constructed from hardened steel with a total length of 850 mm. The compact folding mechanism reduces the folded size for easier transport and storage while providing a secure barrier when unfolded. Designed to attach a bicycle to fixed objects such as bike stands, poles or railings, the lock addresses common urban security needs for commuters and casual riders.

Advantages

The hardened steel construction increases resistance to cutting and levering, and the articulated folding segments allow the lock to be carried in a compact form on a frame mount or in a bag. The lock’s length provides sufficient reach to secure the frame and wheel to many common anchoring points. A protective coating on the lock reduces paint damage to the bicycle frame and the simple locking mechanism supports quick daily use.

Suitable for

• Securing commuter and city bicycles during short stops
• Locking a bicycle to bike racks, posts and railings
• Urban cycling where portability and moderate security are required
• Everyday use for commuters, students and errand trips

Key specifications

• Construction: folding segments made of hardened steel
• Total length when extended: 850 mm
• Compact folded size for easier transport and storage
• Protective coating to minimise frame abrasion
• Locking mechanism: single-barrel cylinder locking for straightforward operation

How to use

Unfold the lock by releasing the fastening catch and extend the articulated segments until the desired length is reached. Thread the lock through the bicycle frame and, if possible, through a wheel and around a fixed object such as a bike rack or pole. Ensure the lock passes through solid parts of the frame rather than delicate components, then align the locking ends and engage the cylinder until it clicks. Keep the key in a secure place and verify the lock is fully closed before leaving the bicycle.

Recommendations

For best results, use the FISCHER PROTEC FN85 on sturdy anchoring points in well-lit, populated areas. Combine with a cable or secondary lock for added security of wheels or accessories. Regularly clean and lubricate the cylinder with a graphite-based lubricant to maintain smooth operation and inspect the protective coating for wear to avoid frame scratches.
