Lucchetto a catena ABUS 57656 giallo 600 mm acciaio 200 g

The ABUS 57656 Yellow chain lock is a compact steel security solution designed for everyday bicycle protection. At 600 mm in length and weighing approximately 200 g, this chain lock combines portability with a focus on reliable deterrence. The bright yellow finish improves visibility and makes the lock easy to locate when stored with other gear. Constructed from hardened steel links, the chain offers resistance to casual tampering while remaining light enough for regular transport.

Advantages

This chain lock balances security and convenience: hardened steel links provide mechanical strength while the short 600 mm length reduces exposed chain that could be leveraged during attacks. The 200 g weight makes it suitable for carrying in a backpack or attaching to a rack without adding significant bulk. The yellow coating protects the steel from corrosion and prevents scratching of bike frames when used with a protective sleeve or looped placement.

Suitable for

• Securing bicycles during short stops in urban environments
• Locking accessories such as child seats or helmets to a bike
• Use as a secondary lock in combination with a stronger U-lock for higher-risk locations

Key specifications

• Material: hardened steel links with protective coating
• Length: 600 mm
• Weight: approximately 200 g
• Color: yellow
• Compact design suitable for transport on bike racks or in bags

How to use

Thread the chain through the bicycle frame and a fixed object such as a bike rack or pole, ensuring the chain passes through the rear triangle when possible to limit wheel removal. Close and lock the chain according to the lock mechanism instructions, and position the lock body off the ground to reduce leverage from tools. When parking in higher-risk areas, use the chain in combination with a secondary lock to secure both frame and wheel(s).

Recommendations

For routine daily use, carry the chain in a protective sleeve or wrapped to avoid contact with the bike frame. Regularly inspect the chain coating and links for signs of wear or corrosion, and store the lock dry when not in use to prolong service life.
