Nastro adesivo 3M alluminio morbido 431 — lunghezza 55 m, larghezza 50 mm

3M Weichaluminium 431 adhesive tape is an aluminium-faced tape supplied on a 55 m roll with a 50 mm width, designed for sealing, heat reflection and surface protection where a metal foil tape is required. The product combines a metal-facing layer with an adhesive backing to provide a durable bond to a variety of surfaces and resist environmental exposure typical in HVAC, ductwork and insulation applications.

Advantages

The aluminium facing provides a reflective surface that supports heat and light reflection while protecting the underlying material from moisture and abrasion. The pressure-sensitive adhesive ensures consistent tack and adhesion to metal, foil-faced insulation, and many common construction substrates. The long roll length reduces tape changes on the job and the 50 mm width offers a balance between coverage and handling convenience.

Suitable for

• Sealing HVAC joints and seams
• Repairing metal ductwork and ventilation systems
• Wrapping insulation and sealing foil-faced insulation boards
• Temporary surface protection against moisture and abrasion
• General-purpose repairs where an aluminium-faced tape is required

Key specifications

• Backing material: aluminium-faced foil
• Adhesive type: pressure-sensitive adhesive
• Roll length: 55 m
• Tape width: 50 mm
• Surface finish: metallic reflective
• Primary uses: sealing, heat reflection, surface protection, repairs

How to use

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of loose particles or oils before application. Unroll the tape and apply with firm pressure, smoothing out wrinkles and bubbles to achieve full contact. For HVAC seams and duct joints, overlap tape edges where appropriate to create continuous coverage. Cut or tear the tape to the required length and press firmly along the length of the applied tape to secure adhesion. For curved or irregular surfaces, apply in shorter lengths and use overlapping passes to conform the foil to the shape.

Recommendations

Store rolls in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources to preserve adhesive performance. Use at moderate temperatures; applying tape to very cold or contaminated surfaces may reduce bond strength. For long-term airtight HVAC connections, confirm compatibility with system materials and consider mechanical fastening in combination with tape where building codes require additional reinforcement.
