Nastro Tesa 4970 25 mm x 50 m

Tesa 4970 25 mm x 50 m is a white PVC adhesive tape designed for general-purpose fixing, sealing and insulation tasks. The tape combines a flexible PVC backing with a strong pressure-sensitive adhesive to provide good adhesion on a variety of surfaces. With a 25 mm width and 50 m length, it is suitable for both detailed repair work and longer runs where a consistent bond is required.

Advantages

The PVC backing gives the tape mechanical strength and flexural stability while remaining conformable to curved or irregular surfaces. The pressure-sensitive adhesive provides reliable initial tack and long-term holding power on materials such as plastic, metal, glass and painted surfaces. The white color enables discreet application where visual integration is important, and the 50 m roll length reduces the need for frequent replacements during larger jobs.

Suitable for

• Temporary and permanent repairs on household items
• Sealing joints in ducts, conduits and cable runs
• Insulation and protection of exposed small parts
• Masking and holding in light assembly or finishing tasks

Key specifications

• Material: PVC backing with pressure-sensitive adhesive
• Color: White
• Width: 25 mm
• Length: 50 m
• Thickness: typical for general-purpose PVC adhesive tape (provides tear resistance and flexibility)
• Adhesion: strong tack suitable for indoor and outdoor use

How to use

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, grease or loose particles before applying the tape. Measure and cut the required length, then press the tape firmly onto the surface using a roller or by hand to remove air pockets and improve contact. For curved or irregular surfaces, apply progressively and smooth the tape along contours to maintain adhesion. When removing, pull back slowly at a low angle to reduce residue and surface damage; test on an inconspicuous area when using on delicate finishes.

Recommendations

Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve adhesive performance. For long-term outdoor exposure or applications requiring high temperature resistance, verify suitability for the specific environmental conditions prior to prolonged use.
