Passacavo Bachmann 917.0821, bianco — uscita cavi per scrivania/bancone

The Bachmann 917.0821 cable grommet in white is a purpose-built desk and counter cable outlet that provides a tidy passage for power, data and audio cables through work surfaces. Designed for installation in desks, countertops or worktops, this grommet protects cable sheathing from abrasion where cables pass through openings and helps keep wiring organized for office or home environments.

Advantages

The white finish integrates with light-coloured furniture and office fittings, offering a discreet appearance. Its circular design guides cables smoothly and reduces stress at cut edges, prolonging cable life. The grommet facilitates a neat, professional installation and helps maintain a clutter-free workspace by concentrating cable routing to a single, protected point.

Suitable for

• Routing power cords and plug-in leads through desks and counters
• Managing data and network cables (Ethernet, patch cords) at workstations
• Organizing audio and AV cables in meeting rooms or home entertainment setups
• Small renovation projects where a simple cable pass-through is needed

When it may not be suitable

This grommet is intended for standard-diameter cables and typical desktop or countertop thicknesses. It is not a replacement for specialised cable management systems that provide surge protection, integrated power outlets, or high-capacity cable trays. For installations requiring built-in power sockets, USB charging ports, or locking cable management enclosures, choose a product designed specifically for those features.

Key specifications

• Color: white
• Intended mounting: desk, counter, worktop cable pass-through
• Primary function: cable protection and routing through surfaces
• Suitable cable types: power, data, audio cables
• Typical use environments: home, office, meeting rooms

How to use

Cut or drill an opening in the work surface to the required diameter following the manufacturer’s installation instructions and ensure edges are free of debris. Insert the grommet into the hole until it sits flush with the surface, then route cables through the central opening. Check that cables move freely and are not pinched by the edge of the hole. If necessary, secure surrounding wiring beneath the desk with cable ties or clips to maintain an organised layout.

What to consider before purchase

• Measure the hole diameter and surface thickness to confirm compatibility with the grommet.
• Confirm the colour and appearance match your furniture or fixtures.
• Decide whether a simple pass-through is sufficient or if integrated power/data modules are required.
• Check the number and diameter of cables you need to route through a single grommet.

Recommendations

Position the grommet where cables naturally converge and allow slack under the desk to prevent tension. Regularly inspect cable entry points for wear and re-route or replace cables showing damage. For high-density cabling, consider using multiple grommets or a dedicated cable management solution.
