Presa a muro 2 x RJ-45 ShiverPeaks S/CONN 74280-S — Cat6a, 500 MHz, case in metallo, nero

ShiverPeaks S/CONN 74280-S wall socket outlet provides two RJ-45 ports designed for Cat6a cabling and signal transmission up to 500 MHz. The unit is intended for structured network installations where high data throughput and reduced interference are required. Its metal housing with a matt black finish offers mechanical protection and a consistent appearance for residential or commercial interiors.

Advantages

The dual-port RJ-45 outlet supports Cat6a specifications and a 500 MHz frequency range, enabling higher Ethernet speeds and improved headroom for bandwidth-intensive applications. The metal housing improves electromagnetic shielding and mechanical robustness compared with standard plastic faceplates. Supplied as a single unit, the outlet fits typical wall-mounting cutouts and is compatible with standard keystone and patch-cabling practices in structured cabling systems.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet installations in offices and data rooms
• Structured cabling for multimedia and streaming applications
• Home networks requiring future-proof Cat6a connectivity

Key specifications

• Connector type: 2 × RJ-45 ports
• Category: Cat6a
• Frequency range: up to 500 MHz
• Housing material: metal with matt black finish
• Form factor: wall socket outlet, single unit

How to use

Install the outlet in a compatible wall mounting box following local electrical and building regulations. Terminate Cat6a cables to the RJ-45 connectors using appropriate termination tools and follow color-coding standards for pair assignment. After cabling, secure the metal housing to the mounting box and attach a compatible faceplate if required. Test each port with a network cable tester to verify continuity, pair integrity and performance up to 500 MHz before putting the connection into regular service.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use shielded Cat6a cabling and ensure proper earthing of the metal housing in installations where electromagnetic interference or grounding is a concern. Validate installed links with a certified cable tester to confirm compliance with Cat6a parameters and to identify installation faults early.
