Rack autoportante EFB Elektronik PRO-2466GR.G1SV

The EFB Elektronik PRO-2466GR.G1SV is a 24U freestanding rack designed for indoor equipment housing in server rooms, data centres and network closets. It provides a robust frame with a grey finish and a clear 19" equipment mounting size, offering organised storage and straightforward access to installed devices. With a maximum static load capacity of 1000 kg and an IP20 protection rating, the rack is intended for dry, controlled indoor environments where mechanical stability and efficient space use are required.

Advantages

The freestanding design allows placement anywhere on a level floor without the need for wall mounting, while a 24U height gives a balance between capacity and footprint. A 1000 kg load rating supports heavy equipment and cable management setups. The IP20 rating confirms protection against solid objects larger than 12 mm and suitability for indoor installation. The neutral grey colour and standard 19" mounting ensure compatibility with most industry equipment and an unobtrusive appearance in professional settings.

Suitable for

• Small to medium server rooms and data centres
• Networking equipment and patch panels
• Telecommunications cabinets and rack-mountable power distribution units (PDUs)
• Laboratory or office environments requiring a compact rack

How to use

Position the freestanding rack on a level, stable surface in a climate-controlled indoor environment. Assemble and secure any optional panels or doors according to the manufacturer’s assembly instructions before installing equipment. Mount rack-mount servers, switches, PDUs and patch panels using standard 19" mounting rails and appropriate rack screws or mounts. Distribute heavy equipment evenly and place the heaviest items at the bottom to maintain stability. Ensure cable routing and ventilation paths are planned to avoid obstructing airflow.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, install the rack in a room with controlled temperature and humidity, use proper grounding and cable management, and adhere to the stated maximum load capacity. Avoid placing the rack in outdoor or wet locations due to the IP20 rating. If seismic or specialised environmental protection is required, select a rack with appropriate certification and higher ingress protection.
