With an effective width of 485 mm, depth of 400 mm and overall product depth listed as 250 mm, the shelf occupies a 1U rack height (45 mm) and provides a stable platform for non-rackmount equipment, peripherals and cable management accessories. Finished in light grey, the shelf integrates into professional and home datacentre environments and helps keep devices organized without occupying additional rack units.

Advantages

The Equip Fixed Shelf offers a durable steel construction that supports a variety of equipment while minimizing flex. Its 1U profile conserves rack space and the 400 mm usable depth accommodates external power supplies, small switches, KVM units and other devices. The light grey finish is neutral and resists visible scratches and fingerprints in typical IT environments. At a weight of approximately 1.003 kg, the shelf is easy to install and handle during rack configuration.

Suitable for

• Mounting non-rackable devices such as routers, modems, small switches and external hard drives

Place equipment centrally and avoid exceeding the rack's or shelf's specified load capacity; distribute weight evenly across the shelf surface. Route cables neatly behind or under the shelf to maintain airflow and access to front and rear ports.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the Equip Fixed Shelf to hold lightweight to medium-weight non-rackmount equipment and accessories. Verify clearance for rear connectors and cooling, and combine with vertical or horizontal cable management to keep airflow unobstructed. Regularly check mounted items and fasteners during routine maintenance.
