Cavo networking S/CONN 08-22015 nero 0,5 m Cat6 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-22015 Black 0.5 m Cat6 U/UTP is a short patch cable designed for reliable wired connections between network devices. This Cat6 U/UTP cable supports gigabit Ethernet speeds and has RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain consistent signal quality over its 0.5 meter length. The black jacket provides a discrete appearance while the cable’s construction meets the functional requirements for local area network patching and direct device interconnection.

Advantages

The cable’s Cat6 performance ensures higher bandwidth and reduced crosstalk compared with older categories, suitable for gigabit data transfer up to 1000 Mbit/s. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts improve corrosion resistance and contact reliability, while the U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair with overall unshielded jacket) design offers compatibility with common network equipment and simpler installation in typical office or home environments. The 0.5 m length minimizes excess cabling and helps keep patch panels and desks tidy.

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Cable type: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
• Max data rate: Up to 1000 Mbit/s (gigabit Ethernet)
• Jacket color: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network port of your device and the other plug to a switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable; maintain gentle curves and route the cable clear of strong electromagnetic sources where possible. The short 0.5 m length is intended for close-proximity connections such as between devices on a single desk or within a rack bay.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6 U/UTP cable for short, high-reliability connections where gigabit speeds are required. Do not expose the cable to prolonged mechanical stress, liquids, or temperatures outside typical indoor operating ranges. Replace the cable if connector damage or significant jacket wear is observed.
