Subwoofer dBTechnologies SUB 618, 18", 600 W

The dBTechnologies SUB 618 is an active 18" subwoofer delivering 600W of continuous power. Engineered for robust low-frequency reproduction, this unit offers deep, controlled bass suitable for live sound, events and fixed installations. Its solid construction supports regular transport and stage use while the built-in amplifier and ergonomic enclosure simplify setup and operation.

Advantages

The SUB 618 provides consistent low-end performance with a high-power amplifier engineered to produce impactful bass at high SPL levels. Its 18" driver design ensures extended low-frequency response and tight transient control. The cabinet is designed for durability and practical handling, balancing portability with ruggedness. Integrated electronics reduce the need for external amplification and allow straightforward connection to PA systems.

Suitable for

• Live music stages and touring rigs
• DJ booths and club sound systems
• Corporate events and rental installations
• Permanent installation in clubs, bars or houses of worship
• Supplementing full-range loudspeakers for enhanced low-frequency impact

Key specifications

• Driver size: 18-inch low-frequency transducer
• Amplifier power: 600 watts (continuous output)
• Active design with built-in amplifier
• Cabinet: rugged enclosure optimized for low-frequency response and transport
• Inputs/outputs: balanced audio connectivity for integration with PA systems

How to use

Place the SUB 618 on a stable surface or mount in the recommended orientation for the best bass dispersion. Connect the line-level outputs of your mixer or audio processor to the subwoofer’s input using balanced cables. Set crossover and level to complement main speakers — typically using a crossover point appropriate for main speaker low-frequency limits. Power on the unit and adjust gain to achieve the required bass level without clipping. For touring or rental use, secure the enclosure during transport and handle the driver area carefully to avoid impact damage.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the SUB 618 with full-range loudspeakers and set the crossover near the low-frequency cutoff of the main speakers. Allow the built-in amplifier sufficient ventilation during extended use and avoid placing heavy objects on the enclosure. Regularly inspect connectors and mounting hardware when used in touring or permanent installations.
