Cavo InfiniBand/fibra ottica Synergy 21 S217016 7,5 m 2x LC 2x SC

The Synergy 21 S217016 is a 7.5 m InfiniBand/fibre optic cable designed for high-speed data transmission. It uses OM4 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter and provides full duplex communication through two LC connectors and two SC connectors. The cable is intended for interconnection of networking equipment where low latency and high bandwidth are required, such as switches, storage systems and server fabrics.

Advantages

The OM4 multimode fibre delivers improved bandwidth and extended reach compared with earlier multimode grades, enabling reliable transmission at high data rates over the 7.5 m length. The combination of 2x LC and 2x SC connectors offers compatibility with a broad range of InfiniBand and fibre optic ports. Full duplex operation supports simultaneous bidirectional data flow, reducing bottlenecks in point-to-point links. The standardized connector types make installation and replacement straightforward in rack and data center environments.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting InfiniBand switches and host channel adapters
• Connecting fibre optic ports on storage arrays and SAN equipment
• Short to medium reach links within server racks and between adjacent racks
• High-bandwidth applications requiring multimode OM4 cabling

Key specifications

• Cable length: 7.5 m
• Fibre type: OM4 multimode fibre
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector configuration: 2x LC to 2x SC
• Communication mode: full duplex
• Intended use: InfiniBand / fibre optic data links

How to use

Verify compatibility of the device ports with LC and SC connectors before connecting. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and areas with heavy mechanical stress to maintain the specified optical performance. Insert LC and SC connectors into their respective ports until they click or seat securely, ensuring correct polarity for transmit and receive channels. For removal, depress the release mechanism on LC connectors and pull SC connectors straight out, taking care not to strain the fibre.

Recommendations

Maintain bend radius and handling guidelines for OM4 multimode fibre; clean connectors with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before mating to minimize insertion loss. Use this 7.5 m Synergy 21 cable for short to medium reach data center links where OM4 performance is required, and confirm port type and polarity during system integration.
