The ASTAR DEQSTER Smart Rugged Touch Plus Keyboard for iPad 10.9" (10th gen) is a rugged docking keyboard that connects via the Apple Smart Connector to provide power and data without pairing or charging. Designed for mobile productivity, it features a QWERTZ German layout, mechanical switches and a sealed, splash‑proof keyset. The case integrates a flexible kickstand for multiple viewing angles, an integrated pen holder compatible with Apple Pencil or similar styluses, and a generous trackpad. The robust housing and MIL‑STD‑810H level protection help protect the iPad from shocks and scratches while leaving the back panel unobstructed for personalisation.

Advantages

The Smart Connector docking supplies both power and data directly to the keyboard so no Bluetooth pairing or separate charging is required. Mechanical switches deliver consistent tactile feedback suited to extended typing sessions, while sealed keys and splash‑proof construction reduce the risk of damage from spills or dust. The integrated pen holder keeps a stylus securely stored and accessible, and the flexible kickstand allows stable positioning for writing, reading or media consumption. A large trackpad improves navigation and control within iPadOS.

How to use

The keyboard will draw power and communicate with the iPad automatically; no pairing or charging steps are necessary. Adjust the kickstand to the preferred angle for typing or viewing, and place a compatible stylus into the integrated pen holder when not in use. Use the trackpad to navigate iPadOS gestures and cursor functions, and type as with a conventional keyboard. Clean the sealed key surfaces with a soft damp cloth if necessary, avoiding excessive moisture.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the keyboard exclusively with supported iPad models that provide Smart Connector power and data. Secure the iPad fully in the dock before typing or adjusting the stand. To maintain the protective finish, avoid exposing the case to strong solvents or abrasive cleaners; wipe with a mild detergent solution and a soft cloth. When transporting the keyboard and iPad together, ensure the kickstand is closed to reduce strain on the hinge and connectors.
