tesa 53988-00016-00 Nastro isolante elettrico professionale, rosso, 20 m x 19 mm, PVC, ignifugo, 1 rotolo

Electricians and maintenance technicians reach for this red PVC tape when they need reliable insulation on splices, wire harnesses, or cable marking in control cabinets and junction boxes. The tape unwinds smoothly from the roll and conforms tightly to irregular surfaces, providing a secure, professional finish that stays put under mechanical stress and temperature swings.

Why choose it

This tape combines high dielectric strength with a robust PVC backing that resists abrasion, moisture, and many chemicals. The rubber-based adhesive delivers strong initial tack and long-term holding power, even on difficult surfaces. Its flame-retardant properties add an extra layer of safety in electrical installations, while the red colour allows for clear phase identification and colour-coded maintenance work.

Ideal use cases

• Insulating electrical splices and wire connections
• Bundling and harnessing cables in switchgear and panels
• Colour-coding and marking circuits for quick identification
• Repairing damaged cable jackets in low-voltage applications
• General electrical maintenance in industrial and commercial settings

Good to know

For best results, apply the tape at room temperature to a clean, dry surface, stretching it slightly as you wrap to ensure a tight, void-free seal. The tape is suitable for indoor use and offers moderate UV resistance for short-term outdoor exposure. Store the roll in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve adhesive performance.
