TP-Link Archer C6U router Wi-Fi Gigabit Ethernet dual band (2,4 GHz / 5 GHz) nero

The TP-Link Archer C6U is a tabletop dual-band wireless router that supports Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac) and operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It delivers combined available bandwidth up to 1167 Mbps with a maximum data transmission speed on the faster band of 867 Mbps. The unit includes four omni‑directional antennas, Gigabit Ethernet LAN connectivity and a USB port, and is designed for home or small office networking where stable wireless and wired connections are required.

Advantages

The router provides simultaneous dual‑band operation to separate local traffic and reduce interference, four external omni‑directional antennas for improved coverage, and Gigabit Ethernet ports for high‑speed wired devices. It supports common wireless standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) and standard security protocols (WEP, WPA, WPA2) for basic network protection.

Suitable for

• Home internet sharing for multiple devices
• Small office networks requiring both wireless and wired connections
• Streaming and video calls on the 5 GHz band
• General web browsing and IoT devices on the 2.4 GHz band

How to use

Place the Archer C6U on a flat surface in a central location for optimal coverage, connect the router to your modem via the WAN port, and connect wired devices to the Gigabit LAN ports as needed. Power on the device, then follow the on‑screen setup wizard in the web interface or use the manufacturer's app to configure SSIDs, passwords and security settings. Position the external antennas vertically for general coverage and adjust their orientation if needed to improve signal in specific directions.

Recommendations

For balanced performance, use the 5 GHz band for high‑throughput activities such as streaming and video calls, and assign routine smart home devices to the 2.4 GHz band. Keep firmware updated and use WPA2 for better network security.
