TP-Link EC220-G5 router WLAN Gigabit Ethernet dual band (2,4 GHz / 5 GHz) bianco

The TP-Link EC220-G5 tabletop router provides dual-band Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac) connectivity with combined wireless speeds up to 1.2 Gbps across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Designed for home and small office use, the router includes four external antennas for extended coverage, three Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports for high-speed wired connections, and support for multiple SSIDs and common Wi‑Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac). Security features include WPA/WPA2 and a built-in firewall, while TR-069 support allows ISPs to manage devices remotely.

Advantages

Dual-band Wi‑Fi 5 offers higher throughput for simultaneous HD streaming, online gaming and fast downloads. Four external antennas and advanced antenna design increase receiving sensitivity and expand wireless coverage. Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports deliver reliable wired speeds for LAN devices. Built-in parental controls and multi-SSID support enable network segmentation for IPTV or guest networks. Remote management via TR-069 and the free Tether app simplify setup and ISP administration.

Suitable for

• Home networks with multiple users and devices
• Small office or SOHO environments requiring wired Gigabit connections
• Streaming HD video and online gaming on the 5 GHz band
• ISPs deploying separate WLANs (IPTV, Internet, guest)

How to use

Place the EC220‑G5 on a central, elevated surface to maximize coverage. Connect your modem to the router’s WAN port and use the Gigabit LAN ports for wired devices. Install the free Tether app on an Android or iOS device to follow the guided setup: create SSIDs and passwords, configure parental controls and enable multi‑SSID if needed. ISPs can provision or update device settings remotely via TR‑069.

Recommendations

For best wireless performance, use the 5 GHz band for bandwidth‑intensive applications (HD streaming, gaming) and the 2.4 GHz band for longer range and legacy devices. Position antennas vertically and avoid placing the router near large metal objects or sources of interference.
