Ventola Fractal Design Silent Series R3 92mm

The Fractal Design Silent Series R3 92mm is a case fan designed for quiet and reliable airflow in computer systems. It operates at up to 1500 RPM, provides a maximum static pressure of 0.79 mmH2O and runs on 12V. The fan measures 92 x 92 x 25 mm, is available in black or white, and uses a long-life rifle bearing to extend service life while reducing noise compared with basic sleeve bearings.

Advantages

The Silent Series R3 92mm combines a balanced, sturdy impeller design with a stealth-style black ribbon cable for a neat installation. Low-rated fan speeds are optimized for quiet operation while delivering effective case ventilation. The rifle bearing increases durability and reduces noise, and the fan’s black-and-white color options match common system aesthetics.

How to use

Mount the fan into a compatible 92mm fan bracket or slot in your computer case, aligning screw holes and securing with appropriate screws. Connect the fan’s power cable to a 3-pin or compatible header on the motherboard or to a fan controller rated for 12V. Ensure airflow direction matches your intended intake or exhaust configuration. Power the system and verify the fan spins smoothly and within expected noise levels.

Recommendations

The fan is optimized for quiet case airflow; use it where low noise is important. Regularly check mounting and cable routing to prevent vibration and obstruction. For maximum life and minimal noise, keep the system free of dust and ensure the fan is not exposed to excessive heat or moisture.
