Viti Fischer 670271 45 mm

Fischer 670271 45 mm screws are metal wood screws designed for reliable fastening in wooden components. Each screw has a length of 45 mm and a thread diameter of 4.5 mm, supplied in a pack of 500 pieces to cover medium and large projects. The screws are intended for use where strong grip and durability in timber are required, suitable for construction tasks and general woodworking applications.

Advantages

These Fischer metal wood screws combine a standard metric thread profile with a length suited to joining medium-thickness wooden parts. The 4.5 mm thread diameter provides a balance between holding power and ease of driving into timber. Supplied in a bulk pack of 500, they reduce the need for frequent repurchasing and are convenient for professional and DIY use. Their material composition offers resistance to shear forces and ensures stable connections when used in accordance with recommended practices.

Suitable for

• Joining wooden boards and planks
• Fixing frames, battens and trims
• General carpentry and furniture assembly
• Construction site fastening tasks where longer lengths are required

Key specifications

• Length: 45 mm
• Thread diameter: 4.5 mm
• Material: metal (steel)
• Pack quantity: 500 pieces
• Intended material: wood

How to use

Select an appropriate drill or screwdriver bit that matches the screw head type and ensure the pilot hole, if required, is made to the correct diameter for the 4.5 mm thread to avoid splitting the timber. Position the screw perpendicular to the work surface and drive steadily until the screw head sits flush or at the intended countersink depth. For dense or hardwoods, pre-drilling a pilot hole and using a suitable lubricant can ease driving and reduce the risk of material damage.

Recommendations

For optimal results, choose screws of this length for medium-thickness joints and verify that the selected screw length provides sufficient thread engagement without protruding. When using outdoors or in humid environments, consider appropriate corrosion protection methods if required by the application.
