WEDO 78839 taglierino di sicurezza con leva

WEDO 78839 with Lever is a compact safety cutter designed for controlled cutting of packaging materials in home and light industrial settings. The tool features a nylon/fiberglass blade and a lever mechanism that enables one-handed operation while minimising the risk of accidental cuts. Its small footprint and ergonomic profile make it suitable for repetitive tasks such as opening boxes, cutting tape and trimming soft materials.

Advantages

The nylon/fiberglass blade provides a balance of durability and reduced blade exposure, helping to maintain cutting performance while lowering the chance of user injury. The integrated lever mechanism allows precise blade engagement and withdrawal with minimal force. The cutter’s construction supports straightforward handling and storage, and the compact form factor makes it easy to keep at a workstation or in a utility drawer.

Suitable for

• Opening corrugated cardboard boxes and cartons
• Cutting adhesive tape and shrink wrap
• Trimming packaging foam and soft plastics
• Light-duty workshop and office cutting tasks

Key specifications

• Blade material: nylon reinforced with fiberglass for improved strength
• Operation: lever mechanism for controlled one-handed use
• Design: compact, ergonomic body for repetitive use
• Safety features: reduced blade exposure and controlled engagement
• Typical applications: packaging, unpacking, light trimming

How to use

Hold the cutter by its ergonomic body with the blade-facing edge aligned to the cutting line. Use the lever to extend the blade only as far as needed to slice through the material, then guide the tool along the cut with steady pressure. Retract the blade fully with the lever when the cut is finished or when setting the tool down. For consistent results, keep motions controlled and avoid forcing the blade through materials thicker than recommended for light-duty cutters.

Recommendations

Inspect the blade regularly for wear and replace the cutter if cutting performance degrades. Use the cutter on suitable materials only and store it with the blade retracted to reduce the risk of accidental contact. Keep out of reach of children and do not use on metal or very dense materials.
