Cavo in fibra ottica GOOBAY 50/125 OM3 LC–LC 1 m, multimodale, full duplex

GOOBAY 50/125 OM3 LC–LC 1 m multimode full duplex fibre optic cable is a short-range patch cable designed for high-speed data links in offices, server rooms and data centres. The cable uses 50/125 µm multimode OM3 fibre and LC-duplex connectors on both ends, providing low-loss transmission for short to medium distances. The sheath is low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) and flame-retardant, and each cable is supplied with a test protocol to verify optical performance.

Advantages

This LC–LC multimode patch cable offers reliable full-duplex communication with standardized OM3 performance for 10 Gbit/s and lower data rates over short distances. The LC-duplex connectors include removable dust caps to protect ferrules during handling. The halogen-free, flame-retardant jacket improves safety in enclosed environments, while bend protection and robust sheathing reduce the risk of fibre damage during installation and operation. Supplied test documentation confirms optical loss characteristics.

Suitable for

• Short-range connections in data centres and server cabinets
• Network backbone links within buildings and between racks
• InfiniBand and high-speed Ethernet patching at 1 Gbit/s and 10 Gbit/s where OM3 is required
• Telecommunications equipment and industrial network installations

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode 50/125 µm (OM3)
• Connector type: LC duplex on both ends
• Length: 1 m
• Operation: Full duplex
• Jacket material: Low smoke zero halogen (LSZH), flame-retardant
• Colour: Green
• Bend protection and durable outer sheath for mechanical protection
• Supplied with a test protocol documenting optical performance

How to use

Inspect connector dust caps before installation and remove them immediately prior to mating. Route the cable following standard bend-radius guidelines and avoid tight loops or sharp kinks to maintain optical performance. Plug the LC duplex connectors into matching LC ports on transceivers, patch panels or switches, ensuring correct orientation for full-duplex links. After installation, verify link operation and, if necessary, consult the supplied test protocol to compare measured loss values against expected OM3 performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this OM3 LC–LC cable within recommended distance ranges for each data rate (for example, up to about 300 m for 10 Gbit/s on OM3) and pair with compatible fibre transceivers and patch panels. Store with dust caps fitted when not in use, follow LSZH installation practices in enclosed spaces, and avoid repeated tight bending or crushing the cable to maintain long-term signal integrity.
